Session 1: MAC POS Data Architecture
MAC’s data team presented how they built a secure, governed data framework that standardized concessionaire reporting, improved accuracy, and enhanced transparency across departments. Learned how Audit and Concessions & Business Development teams use this architecture to ensure data reliability, streamline reconciliations, and drive informed decisions.

Session 2: Concession Benchmarking & Roundtable Q&A
Engaged with airport members in a collaborative benchmarking discussion on concession auditing practices. Explored how different airports collect, analyze, and audit concession data, shared lessons learned, and discussed emerging trends in data governance, compliance, and technology.

Together, these sessions bridged technology and collaboration—showing how modern data solutions and shared insights can strengthen audit trust, operational efficiency, and airport-wide business performance.

Dalton Van Buren


Dalton Van Buren is a Data Architect at the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC), where Dalton leads the strategy and technical design of the enterprise data and analytics platform supporting airport operations and enhancing the experience of nearly 40 million passengers annually. In addition to developing data architecture roadmaps, governance, and data quality standards, Dalton serves as Azure Data Solution Architect and Lead Data Engineer, advancing MAC’s Azure lakehouse including Azure Synapse, Data Lake Storage Gen2, Data Factory, and Power BI, to deliver scalable, secure, and governed data products.

Dustin Anderson


Dustin Anderson is a Data Engineer specializing in standardizing complex data inputs across diverse systems. At the Association of Airport Internal Auditors conference, he’ll discuss how metadata-driven pipelines, automated error handling, and reprocessing strategies are helping airports unify inconsistent concessionaire data from CSVs and Excel files to APIs and further into reliable, actionable insights.

Vinta Shinkar
Vinita Shinkar is a Data Analyst at the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC), where she leads data strategy and performance analytics to support airport concessions. Her work focuses on transforming complex datasets into actionable insights using Microsoft Azure and Power BI, driving measurable improvements in foot traffic, sales lift, and executive decision-making. Vinita’s expertise in building dynamic dashboards and optimizing KPIs makes her a valuable voice in advancing data-driven auditing across the airport industry.

Kayla Mayhue


Kayla Mayhue is the AVP of Internal Audit at the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) that oversees the Orlando International Airport and Orlando Executive Airport. She joined GOAA in May of 2025 and has more than 10 years of auditing experience. Prior to joining GOAA, she had a background in public accounting and consulting. Kayla is a recent CIA and holds a CPA certification as well. Originally from Michigan, she moved to Orlando, FL in October 2019. Currently, she is on board the Central Florida IIA chapter. Kayla’s favorite airport audits to review and work through are the rental car audits!
