Conferences & Events

The Association of Airport Internal Auditors (AAIA) had its first conference in 1990 in Orlando, Florida. Since then, it has hosted 30 consecutive conferences that have met the needs and interests of Airport Internal Auditors.

In the interest of our members' health and safety, the 31st Annual Conference was rescheduled for September 2021, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Despite the Pandemic, we are determined to stay connected using webinars, virtual meetings, and an improved Forum platform. In December, the AAIA held its first Quarterly Forum virtually - and will hold its next one in March. Also in December, Plante Moran generously presented a members-only webinar and the AAIA held its first virtual Holiday Happy Hour(s)!!

AAIA Quarterly Forum

Now eligible for CPE Credit, registrants joined fellow AAIA members to ask, share and learn on a virtual platform in December.

For more information:AAIA QUARTERLY FORUM.

The next AAIA Quarterly Forum will be in March 2021. An email invitation will be sent to members when the date and time are determined. The website will also post information as it becomes available.

Thank You Plante Moran

Thank you Plante Moran that offered and hosted an informative members-only webinar on December 4th entitled "Improve Virtual Engagement with Your Stakeholders". Registered attendees that attended for at least 50 minutes and answered polling questions, earned one free NASBA approved CPE credit.

The Power Point presentation, recording, and other valuable resources are available to members-only. They have been posted under the Conferences & Events drop down menu as a Past Event or use this linkPLANTE MORAN.

Again, thank you Troy, Pam, Caroline, and Erika, of Plante Moran for providing this excellent webinar.

AAIA Holiday Happy Hour(s)

The first ever AAIA Happy Hour(s) was held Thursday, December 17th via Zoom. You can learn more about it here: AAIA HAPPY HOUR.

Going Forward

We missed seeing our members face-to-face in 2020, but are looking forward to this year‘s conference and to offer more webinars and other resources to stay connected.
