Conferences & Events

The Association of Airport Internal Auditors (AAIA) had its first conference in 1990 in Orlando, Florida and, through 2019, hosted 30 consecutive conferences that have met the needs and interests of Airport Internal Auditors.  Then the COVID-19 Pandemic struck and the 31st Annual Conference was rescheduled from June 2020 to September 2021.  To adapt to the varying needs of our members, this year's conference will offer both in-person and virtual packages.

Despite the Pandemic, we are determined to stay connected using webinars, virtual meetings, and an improved Forum platform.  Over the past several months the following has occurred:To view past events, select from Conferences and Events menu bar and look at Past Events; or use the links found above.

Webinar: Navigating the Coronavirus-Related Government Funding for Airports

Thank you Pamela Hill and Erika Stanley of Plante Moran and Callie Ullman of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority and the AAIA for co-presenting this timely topic. During this live webinar, attendees learned about the CARES, CRSSA, and ARP Acts and what your external auditors will request to comply with the grant requirements for funds used through them.  Also, they learned what airport internal auditors can do to assure their airport's compliance.

Going Forward

The AAIA would like to continue to offer members-only webinars, and welcomes your suggestions for topics. Please contact info@airport-auditors.com with your ideas.

We missed seeing our members face-to-face in 2020, but are looking forward to this year‘s conference and to offer more webinars and other resources to stay connected.

Wishing you good health,

The Association of Airport Internal Auditors, Inc.
